JKSSB JE Selection Process 2026

The JKSSB Junior Engineer selection process consists of two primary stages. Candidates must first qualify in the written examination to be eligible for document verification, which determines the final merit list of selected engineers.

  • Written Examination: The written test comprises Multiple-choice, objective-type questions, and the question paper will be in English only. There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer. ¼ marks assigned to the question will be deducted for every incorrect response.
  • Document Verification: The candidates who successfully clear the JKSSB JE written exam will be called for the verification of their original documents, whose copies were uploaded at the time of filling out the application forms.

JKSSB Junior Engineer Exam Pattern 2026

The JKSSB JE Recruitment 2026 exam pattern focuses heavily on technical proficiency. Candidates have 2 hours to complete 120 questions worth 120 marks. While the sections for General Intelligence, Reasoning, and General Awareness remain consistent, technical topics vary significantly across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering disciplines.
