JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Eligibility Criteria 2026

JKSSB has established specific age and educational qualifications for these roles. Draftsman candidates must possess the required training certificate, while Veterinary Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler roles require relevant degrees and higher secondary education, respectively.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The maximum age limit for Open Merit candidates is 40 years, with age relaxation provisions available for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

To apply for the Pharmacist or Draftsman posts, candidates must submit their application forms along with the required non-refundable processing fee. Payments must be processed through secure online methods, including Debit/Credit Cards, Net Banking, or UPI.

JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Selection Process 2026

The JKSSB selection procedure for these positions follows a multi-stage process, typically consisting of a written examination, document verification, and a comprehensive medical evaluation.

1. Written Examination: This is the first stage of recruitment, which is conducted in an OMR-based format. The final merit depends on the performance of candidates in this round.
2. Document Verification: In this stage, candidates have to show the original documents. Along with this, they also have to bring a self-attested Photostat copy of each document and the online application form. They must show that their educational certificate has been issued on or before the cut-off date, which is 1st January 2026.
3. Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates have to undergo a medical exam before the final appointment letter is issued.

JKSSB Exam Pattern 2026

The Board will conduct separate written examinations for the Pharmacist and Draftsman posts. Detailed exam patterns and syllabi will be published officially on the JKSSB website.

• The exam will contain objective-type questions only.
• The language of the questions will be set in English.
• For every wrong answer, 1/4th mark will be deducted.

Note: Candidates belonging to the PwBD category who possess a valid Scribe Certificate are entitled to compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.

JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be entitled to a salary structured under the 7th Pay Commission. All positions, including Veterinary Pharmacist, Assistant Compiler, and Draftsman (Civil), are categorized under Level 4 of the Pay Matrix.

Note: In addition to the base salary, appointees will receive standard J&K Government benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA), and House Rent Allowance (HRA).
