UGC NET Result 2026 Certificate Validity

The UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professor (Lectureship) status remains valid for a lifetime. However, the UGC NET JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) award letter carries a validity of three years from the date of issue. Qualifying the UGC NET is a mandatory requirement for pursuing Assistant Professor roles in universities and colleges across India. 

• Assistant Professor/Lectureship: The UGC NET certificate for this position is valid for a lifetime.
• JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): The JRF award letter is valid for three years from the date it is issued.
