According to the official announcement, the 28th WB State Eligibility Test 2026 will be conducted on 13th December 2026 (Sunday). The examination comprises two papers held in two distinct sessions: Paper I will be conducted from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by Paper II from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

WB SET 2026 Exam Pattern & Structure

  • The WB SET Exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • The exam consists of 02 papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper I shall consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions, which will be general, are intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate.
  • Paper II shall consist of 100 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks, which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
  • The time duration for paper I is 01 hour, and paper 2 is 02 hours.
  • For each correct question, 2 marks shall be awarded.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
