Steps to Apply Online for RRB Group D 2026

Before submitting your application for RRB Group D positions, verify that you meet all specified eligibility criteria, including age, educational requirements, and medical standards. The Railway Recruitment Board has released the 2026 recruitment guidelines; follow the step-by-step instructions provided below to successfully register. 

Step 1- Registration 

1. Navigate to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board and select the RRB region corresponding to your state or area.
2. Search and click on the link titled "CEN-09/2025 Group D (Level-1) Recruitment.
3. Now begin with the registration process by providing essential details such as your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
4. Upon successful registration, you will receive a unique registration ID and password via email or SMS.

Step 2- Application Form Filling

1. Using your registration ID and password log in to the railway application portal.
2. Fill in the required personal, educational, and contact information correctly.
3. Ensure all details are correct to avoid discrepancies during the selection process.

Step 3- Upload Documents

1. Prepare scanned copies of photographs, and signature, educational certificate and category certificate as per the specified format and size and Upload each document in the designated sections of the application form.

Step 4- Submit Application Fee

Candidates applying for Railway Group D (Level 1) posts must pay the required application fee to finalize their candidacy. Payments can be securely made via UPI, credit/debit cards, or net banking.

For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC).	Rs. 250/-
Fo all other candidates	Rs. 500/-

Note: For general candidates, Rs. 400 of the Rs. 500 application fee will be refunded upon appearing for the Computer Based Test (CBT).
For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minority, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates, the full fee of Rs. 250 will be refunded after the examination. 

Once your payment is successful, ensure you record your transaction reference number for future verification.

Step 5- Review and Submit RRB Group D Online Form

1. Thoroughly review all entered information and uploaded documents to ensure accuracy.
2. Once confirmed, submit the RRB Group D Online Form before the last date, i.e. 20th February 2026 (11:59 pm).
3. After submission, a confirmation page will be generated. Download and print the confirmation page for your records.

To complete the RRB Group D application, please have the following documents and personal details prepared:

• Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
• Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
• Candidates scanned signatures in running handwriting
• SC /ST Certificate (only for candidates requesting free passes for train travel) in PDF format (up to 400KB)
• Matriculation/ 10th Class Certificate to fill in the details

Who can apply for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026?

1. Education Qualification- Candidates must have completed their 10th education from a recognised school or its equivalent.
2. Candidates must be Indian citizens or meet certain domicile/ citizenship criteria as specified by the Railway Recruitment Board.
3. Candidates should meet the physical standards and medical fitness requirements applicable for specific posts, especially those involving field duties.
4. Candidates should be between 18 to 33 years age to apply for RRB Group D Level 1 posts.
5. Candidates who are waiting for the final results of their educational qualifications are not eligible to apply for the vacancies.
