Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the examination. To ensure a seamless testing process, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the exam across multiple shifts. For the current cycle, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has scheduled the RRB Group D CBT Exam from 3rd August to 21st August 2026, with examinations conducted daily in 3 shifts (morning, afternoon, and evening). While exact reporting times are specified on candidates' exam city intimation slips and admit cards, we have also detailed the timings for all three shifts in this article.

RRB Group D Shift Timings 2026

The computer-based test for RRB Group D 2026 has a duration of 90 minutes (1.5 hours) and is held daily in three shifts. The first shift commences at 9:00 AM, the second shift at 12:45 PM, and the final shift begins at 4:30 PM. Review the complete shift schedule from the table below.

RRB Group D Reporting Time

The reporting time varies for each shift and indicates when candidates must arrive at their designated exam centre. Entry to the examination hall closes strictly 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The reporting time and gate closing schedule for each shift are as follows:

Exam Day Instructions To Be Followed

  • Candidates need to carry the printed copy of RRB Group D admit card along with one photo-identity to the exam centre
  • They should carry an Aadhaar card to the exam centre for Aadhaar-linked biometric verification
  • Electronic items or any study material is not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Candidates must arrive at their respective exam centres at least 30 minutes before their reporting time.
  • Candidates must follow the instructions of the invigiator strictly and don’t leave the exam hall before the exam time.
